How it Works (Part 2)

The symbology of the cross is more than a beautifully crafted piece of jewelry. It’s the symbol of death in the Roman Empire.

The spilling of Jesus’ blood wasn’t coincidence or done with the intention of making it more painful. It was done to make a way for all of us to find atonement with the Father.

The debt that Jesus paid on the cross is more than just a the debt of a bank account. It’s the debt for ALL our sins.

This Sunday, Pastor Tim shares with us part 2 of “How it Works” in his Gospel series and he talks about how every aspect of the sacrifice that Jesus made for each of us, is part of God’s perfect plan of redemption for ALL of us.

1. How often do you think about the cross? Did anything you heard today stir you heart? What did you feel?
2. Our victory over the enemy’s weapon of shame is accomplished at the cross; regardless of what we feel, our sin is atoned for. Why is that so hard to accept and live out? Take a few minutes in prayer asking the Lord to deepen your understanding of this vital truth.
