How it Works (Part 1)

God’s standard for righteousness is perfection. But that is unachievable!! So, we needed Jesus to be that perfect sacrifice for all of us.

This Sunday, Pastor Tim breaks down how we needed a Savior because we were helpless and incapable of achieving perfection in the eyes of our Father. Jesus is our Savior and he’s the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Engagement Questions:

1. Blood can seem like an uncomfortable topic. Why is blood so important in regard to the gospel? What does the blood of Jesus actually do for men and women who believe in the gospel?
2. We respond to the work of Jesus by faith. Though easy to understand, many find it hard to accept. It seems like we need to “do” more for this gift! Why do you think that is the case? Why do men and women so often feel the need to work for that which God wants to give?
